Real Runners. Real goals. Real progress.
Running coaching should be about more than simply being given a training plan.
It’s about understanding where you’re starting, where you want to go and what’s realistic for your life, then giving you the structure, support and confidence to get there.
But don’t just take my word for it…
Meet Georgia
Georgia came to Proper Running Co. for a training plan and bespoke 1:1 coaching to get her ready for the London Landmarks half marathon. This was Georgia’s first ever half marathon, so we took the time to understand her running experience, where she was at, what she wanted to achieve, and designed a bespoke training plan for her with regular check ins.
Georgia absolutely smashed her goal, we were aiming for a sub 2h 30 min half, but she trained consistently and dedicated herself and achieved 2:07 which we are so proud of her for!
See what G has to say about Proper Running Coaching…
“Lucy was a great coach for my half marathon! When creating the plan, she asked me plenty of questions to understand how often I can fit in a run, how strict or flexible I’d like the plan to be etc. During the training, Lucy would check in on me regularly to see if I wanted any changes to the plan, and overall how I was feeling and finding the training. Not only did Lucy put together a plan for me, she also sent across videos of leg exercises to help strength train during the process. It was helpful to have someone I could ask questions to! It shows the plan and Lucy’s coaching worked well since I aimed for a half marathon time of 2:30, but actually achieved it in 2:07!”
Meet Luke
Luke came to me as a recreational runner with one big goal, to run his first marathon.
I built a completely bespoke 1:1 training plan around his experience, lifestyle and goal, progressively increasing his mileage and introducing structured sessions, long runs and marathon-specific training.
But coaching isn't just about following a plan.
When niggles and illnesses came up, we talked through them, adapted his training and introduced strength work to support his running and help him recover. Regular check-ins meant we could continually assess how he was responding and make changes when needed.
No rigid plan. No pushing through pain. Just coaching that adapted to the runner.
After months of consistent training, Luke lined up in Rome for his first marathon and crossed the finish line in an incredible 3:29.
5K runner → first marathon → sub-3:30.
That's what personalised coaching can do.
